Our inception was marked by the acquisition by Xactis, a forward-thinking company that soon after purchased a textile mill in Atlantis named Rotex Fabrics. Rotex, with its expertise in manufacturing yarn, soon expanded its horizons into designing clothing under the banner of Reliance Clothing. As our ventures grew and diversified, Xholdings was formed as a holding company, bringing all three entities under its umbrella. that not only meet but exceed expectations, ensuring we deliver value at every turn.

- Established in 1980, Rotex Fabrics (Pty) Ltd stands as a beacon of quality in the textile industry. Nestled in the Atlantis industrial area, 50 km north of Cape Town CBD, Rotex has been knitting, dyeing, and finishing high-quality fabrics tailored for both fashion and sportswear. Our commitment to innovation is evident as we constantly develop new fabrics to align with the dynamic fashion and technical demands of our clientele. Our fabrics, predominantly containing elastane blended with materials like cotton, viscose, polyester, nylon, or acrylic, are exhaust dyed and finished in open width, with our cotton/elastane fabrics undergoing bio-polishing using enzymes.
Resilience in Adversity: Rising from the Ashes
However, our journey hasn’t been without challenges. In October 2016, a devastating fire razed our dye house and finishing departments. But with resilience and determination, we rebuilt. By the end of April 2017, the installation of new machinery began, and a year later, our operations were back in full swing. difference in the world.
Brueckner Partnership: A Catalyst for Growth
Our partnership with Brueckner, initiated three months before the fire, played a pivotal role in our resurgence. Impressed by their technology and service, we installed two identical Brueckner stenters, elevating our capacity and capability to deliver high-quality, fashion-forward fabrics with quick response times.
